The Account Officer is responsible for building and maintaining long-term, trusting relationships with customers while meeting a designated portfolio of accounts. The Account Officer will focus on understanding client requirements, resolving issues, and optimizing the overall client experience to drive long-term partnerships and business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Account Acquisition and Management
- Initiate strategies to retain and grow existing clients.
- Oversee client accounts, ensuring all services are delivered as agreed.
- Negotiate contracts or pricing terms and collaborates with internal teams to deliver client expectations.
- Identify and target potential clients
2. Client Communication
- Act as the main contact for clients.
- Address client's needs, inquiries, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
3. Relationship Building
- Establish trust by providing personalized support that addresses client’s specific needs
- Engage clients in regular meetings and events to maintain connections.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration or partnerships.
4. Problem Resolution
- Proactively address any issues that arise the course of client relationship.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, resolving billing discrepancies or managing customer complaints.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective solutions, maintain client satisfaction, and foster long-term relationships
5. Sales Forecasting and Reporting
- Support the management in forecasting future sales opportunities by reviewing sales data, market trends and client feedback.
- Assist in developing strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management to highlight key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.
6. Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that maybe assigned as needed.
- Comply with the Company’s Quality Management System.
Qualifications
- Graduate of any course
- Proven work experience as an Account Specialist, Key Account Specialist, Junior Account Manager or relevant role in Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage industry
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and work with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive level
- Has good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Can communicate effectively across all levels in the organization
- Willing to work in hybrid setup
