Job Description:
The Audit Manager will lead and oversee the internal audit functions of the restaurant group to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best financial practices. The role is responsible for evaluating financial, operational, and procedural controls across various branches and departments, identifying risks, and recommending improvements. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding assets, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the business in maintaining accountability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal audit plans covering all branches and departments.
- Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with audit standards.
- Monitor and evaluate internal controls and accounting procedures to detect weaknesses or risks.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Review daily sales, cash handling, purchasing, and inventory systems across all restaurant outlets.
- Assess compliance with food safety, labor laws, and local tax regulations.
- Perform spot audits of store operations, supplier transactions, and POS systems.
- Work closely with operations and finance teams to develop risk-mitigation strategies.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Supervise and train audit staff, if applicable.
- Liaise with external auditors, government agencies, and other regulatory bodies as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the food and restaurant industry.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years of audit experience, with 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role, ideally within the restaurant, hospitality, or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, financial analysis, and risk management.
- Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations, labor laws, and food industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software; knowledge of POS and inventory systems is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Willing to travel to store locations within Cebu and other regions as needed.
