JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Conducts preventive maintenance on vehicles.
2. Prepares and submits reports on completed work.
3. Requests required parts for repairs and maintenance.
4. Diagnose issues related to the engine, transmission, differential, steering, and underchassis.
5. Performs overhauls on engines and transmissions.
6. Handles repairs involving underchassis, powertrain, steering and alignment, truck chassis reinforcement and welding, as well as minor wiring work.
7. Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field.
8. Serves as the on-call mechanic when needed.
9. Works on both conventional and air brake systems.
10. Coordinates with the warehouse personnel regarding needed non-raw materials or parts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- With at least 2 years of relevant experience is required for this position
- Preferably a graduate of Automotive course or a relative, but not required
- Can perform engine overhaul, transmission overhaul and minor electrical wiring
- Know how to perform a preventive maintenance
- Knowledgeable in repair of under chassis, power train, steering and alignment, and welding
- Know how to diagnose engine, transmission problem, trouble shooting
- Know how to drive (w/ a valid Driver’s License)
