Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional friendliness, empathy, and thorough customer service to patients inquiring about their bills via phone and email
- Research and investigate billing concerns
- Enter updated billing information into our systems and partner with other teams as needed
- Provide input to help elevate process improvements that will benefit patients, clinicians, colleagues, and overall operations
- Work cross-functionally to assist our patients with Carbon Health services
- Take patient payments
- Maintain operation integrity according to the Carbon Health guidelines
Job Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 years of medical billing experience
- Comfortable working knowledge of Apple products, GSuite, and Excel
- Thrive in challenging situations with a focused and calm approach
- 3 years in health insurance in general experience
- Strong communication and customer services skills
- Outbound Call expectation: 5% of Claims worked
- Claims processed expectation: 10 per hour
- Billing Support
- 1 Case management: (50 per day)
Travel Required:
- 0 – 10%
Language Skills
Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
