Job Summary:
The Building Maintenance / Facilities Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of building systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general structural elements. The role ensures that the facility remains safe, functional, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of building systems and equipment.
- Perform basic repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and service calls in a timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC systems and ensure proper operation.
- Assist with installation and relocation of fixtures, machinery, and other equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in assigned maintenance areas.
- Maintain maintenance logs and records of equipment repairs and inspections.
- Assist contractors and external service providers when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures, building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must have completed a relevant vocational or technical course (e.g., Building Wiring Installation, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, etc.).
- Holder of a TESDA NC II or NC III Certificate in any of the following or related:
- Electrical Installation & Maintenance
- Building Wiring Installation
- Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
- Plumbing
- Carpentry / Masonry (if facility repair works are involved)
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in building maintenance or facilities support is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic building systems, safety protocols, and tools of the trade.
- Physically fit, with attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
- May require lifting heavy equipment or working in confined spaces or at heights.
- May be required to work on weekends, holidays, or after-hours for urgent repairs or maintenance emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From Php20,000.00 per month
Supplemental Pay:
- 13th month salary
- Overtime pay
Work Location: In person
