Position: Compliance and Safety Officer-CEBU
Reports to: QACS Manager
Job Purpose: To facilitate compliance with safety guidelines based on OSHA standard in a warehouse/distribution facility. To assess risk and provide recommendation as well as measures to minimize hazards and unhealthy situations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Perform OHS standardization, documentation, monitoring and improvement.
2. Conduct risk and hazard assessment and enforce preventative measures.
3. Facilitate programs to ensure operations and site emergency preparedness and business continuity.
4. Keep on the lookout for any unsafe behavior or breaks in regulations.
5. Effective delivery of any safety audit and compliance program.
6. Active participation in tasks related to the achievement of Integrated Management Systems and Operations Excellence objectives.
7. Investigate causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job site,
8. Liaises with law enforcement and other investigators who are present at the time of a serious accident
9. Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
10. Conduct safety orientation to all visitors.
11. Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet OHS standards.
12. Ensure ongoing compliance with OHS and industry regulatory requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of any Engineering Course
- With at least 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in a Warehouse, Distribution, or Manufacturing set-up
- In depth knowledge in health and safety laws, policies, and guideline
- Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
