Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Preparing ingredients by chopping, dicing, measuring, mixing, and otherwise getting them ready for cooking. This includes following recipes and specific instructions.
- Cooking: Cooking food using various techniques like grilling, frying, baking, or steaming, ensuring it is cooked to completion and meets quality standards.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, following food safety guidelines, and adhering to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
- Order Management: Receiving and processing food orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of meals.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring food supplies, rotating stock, and placing orders to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring kitchen equipment is in proper working order and reporting any issues to management.
- Teamwork: Collaborating with other kitchen staff, including chefs, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Customer Service: In some settings, cooks may interact with customers to address order-related issues or special requests.

- Cooking Skills:Proven ability to prepare a variety of dishes using different cooking methods.
- Food Safety Knowledge:Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
