As a Cost Estimator at Signarama, you will play a vital role in evaluating project requirements, analyzing materials, labor, and production costs, and delivering accurate, competitive pricing for signage solutions. Your expertise ensures our projects are both cost-effective and aligned with client expectations and company profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare detailed cost estimates for signage projects.
- Collaborate with the sales, design, production, and project teams to gather relevant data and clarify project requirements.
- Source pricing for materials, subcontractors, and external suppliers to ensure up-to-date and competitive rates.
- Prepare itemized cost breakdowns and quotations for client proposals and internal approvals.
- Assist in value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or design intent.
- Monitor market trends, pricing changes, and industry standards to maintain accuracy in estimates.
- Maintain a database of historical project costs for benchmarking and future use.
- Review and update estimates based on project changes or revisions in scope.
- Participate in project handovers to ensure seamless transition from estimating to execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in the signage, construction, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with signage materials, production processes, and installation methods is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel, estimating software, and CAD or design files interpretation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
