A Lot About You
You are comfortable in working within several systems and applications, and your strength burns in data management. As a Crew Support Assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that all pertinent data of seafarers of vessels are encoded, updated and assists in monitoring OCS entries. You have a keen sense of quality mindset, good attention to details, organized and prompt. You will be a key contributor in the day-to-day operations and, and participate in team collaboration across the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
- Provides interim support to Fleet 1 operations ensuring seamless crew change execution and administrative cotinuity during the absence of regular staff
- Prepares travel and documentary requirements of embarking seafarer, ensuring the validity and completeness as per document checklist of each seafarer rank and crew routing form
- Checks and assists offsigners for processing of documents due for renewal and final settlement purposes as endorsed by the Crew Manager.
- Prepares final checklist of all travel documents, contracts, and certificates for proper embarkation dispatch of the crew.
- Coordinates with the Master receipt of processed endorsement from issuing Flag State Administration.
- Coordinates with Team Lead, Crew Officer, Crew Manager, Vessel, Travel agents, and Port agents to ensure that final flight details are in conformance with vessel’s schedule.
- Arranges travel requirements of the seafarer to and from the vessel, ensuring the validity and completeness as per document checklist of each seafarer rank and crew routing form.
- Ensures validity and completeness of documentary and travel requirements of joining supernumeraries.
- Arranges the issuance of long lay-over allowance for embarking crew and reimbursement of same for disembarking crew as required.
- Checks and assists offsigners for processing of travel documents due for renewal as endorsed by the Crew Manager.
- Updates individual 201 files of all contracted crew members.
- Assist Crew Officer to validate details for contract submitted by Fleet 2 handlers.
- Assist seafarers in filing for expedite processing in MARINA by providing needed documents
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed any 4-year university/college degree
- Experience or exposure to crewing operations preferred
- Adaptable and quick to learn new systems and procedures
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Note that this role is a fixed term role and only for 6 months.
