Job Brief
We’re looking for a data-driven professional who lives in Excel and thrives on improving systems, creating efficiency, and solving problems before they arise. As a Data Manager, you’ll be central to how the team tracks, reports, and interprets data across marketing, finance, and operations. You’ll play a key role in streamlining internal processes, managing client deliverables, and helping the business scale — all while bringing a healthy dose of initiative and humour.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets for decision-making and reporting
Analyse data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights
Own internal task tracking using ClickUp, keeping all teams and clients on schedule
Document key meeting notes, action items, and ensure client deliverables are followed through
Deliver weekly metrics reports and consolidate data for monthly reporting across departments
Identify operational inefficiencies and propose data-informed solutions
Support the directors with ad hoc reporting, insights, and project support as needed
Requirements:
Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, dashboards, advanced formulas)
Experience with project management tools like ClickUp
Solid background in data reporting and management, preferably in a business or eCommerce setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and work under pressure
Stable internet connection and reliable remote setup
Desirable:
Previous experience preparing reports for marketing, finance, or client-facing roles
Familiarity with other task management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Airtable)
Experience working in remote teams
Background in eCommerce or digital marketing analytics
Software Proficiency:
Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
ClickUp (or equivalent project management tool)
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Bonus: Airtable, Notion, or dashboard/reporting tools
Education:
Tertiary qualification in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
Personal Attributes:
Analytical and detail-oriented with a natural curiosity
Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
Ability to explain data in human terms — not just numbers
Sense of humour and team-oriented approach
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
Time Zone: Australian Business Hours
