- Assisting with Loading and Unloading:This includes physically handling packages, ensuring they are properly secured in the delivery vehicle, and unloading them at the delivery location.
- Navigating and Following Routes:Helpers may assist with navigation, either using GPS or maps, and ensure the driver follows the planned delivery route.
- Customer Interaction:They may interact with customers during deliveries, answer basic questions, and obtain necessary signatures or confirmations.
- Maintaining Delivery Records:Helpers may assist with tracking deliveries, verifying items, and reporting any discrepancies.
- Ensuring Safety:They must adhere to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and delivery, including proper handling of packages and equipment.
- Providing General Support:This includes tasks like organizing packages, maintaining the delivery vehicle, and communicating with the driver or dispatcher.
- Customer Service:Providing a positive and helpful interaction with the customer, answering basic questions, and addressing any concerns.
