JOB SUMMARY :
As a Dental Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication and repair of dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances. Your expertise in dental laboratory techniques and knowledge of dental materials will be crucial in producing high-quality dental restorations that meet the specifications provided by dentists and orthodontists. You will work closely with the dental team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of custom-made dental appliances.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fabricate dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic appliances, based on prescriptions and specifications provided by dental professionals.
- Use dental laboratory equipment, such as waxers, grinders, and ovens, to shape and modify dental restorations.
- Select appropriate materials and create molds or casts of patients' teeth for accurate replication.
- Follow established dental laboratory procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in the production of dental prosthetics.
- Collaborate with dentists, orthodontists, and other dental professionals to understand their specific requirements and preferences for each case.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and fit of dental restorations before final delivery.
- Make necessary adjustments or repairs to dental appliances as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in dental laboratory techniques and technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least a high school graduate but preferably a graduate of Dental Technology
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Dental technician
- Manual dexterity
- Procedural skills
- Attention to detail
