Field Maintenance ensures that all Southstar Drug stores, warehouses, and distribution hubs are well-maintained, functional, and compliant with health, safety, and regulatory standards. This covers building structure, utilities, store equipment, and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities
Store & Facility Upkeep
- Regular inspection of store premises, lighting, aircon, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
- Preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Immediate troubleshooting for reported store facility issues.
Equipment & Fixtures
- Maintenance of refrigerators/freezers (critical for medicine storage).
- Repair or replacement of POS machines, shelves, signage, and counters when needed.
- Ensure calibration and safe use of equipment.
Contractor & Vendor Coordination
- Manage third-party contractors for repairs and renovations.
- Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Source reliable suppliers for parts and maintenance services.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure stores comply with government regulations (e.g., DOH, LGU, fire safety).
- Implement proper waste disposal and sanitation protocols.
- Conduct safety checks, especially for storage of temperature-sensitive drugs.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Monitor maintenance expenses per branch.
- Optimize cost by balancing repairs vs. replacement.
- Provide financial reports for maintenance-related capex/opex.
Support for Expansion
- Assist in setup and maintenance of new store openings.
- Ensure facilities are brand-compliant (look, signage, layout).
