Guild of Runners is seeking a Part Time fitness coach / physical therapist / occupational therapist to provide group coaching and running based workouts to individuals and groups at our fitness studio. You’ll be part of our clients’ journey from start to finish, assessing their goals, creating exercise routines tailored to their needs, and monitoring their progress. The fitness coach / physical therapist / occupational therapist should be a strong communicator, offering helpful instruction in a positive environment that motivates clients to improve their physical health through exercise and running.
Responsibilities
- Train clients using established Guild of Runners fitness/running programs curated by our Head coach
- Modify fitness plans to address health issues, injuries, or other specific needs
- Provide tips, advice, and guidance on improving form and using equipments.
- Ensure client safety during fitness sessions
- Develop strong, professional relationships with clients, and motivate them to achieve their fitness goals
- Greeting and checking in members and guests
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Lead one-on-one and group fitness sessions with clients
- Listen to clients’ fitness goals and actively track their physical progress
- Explain and enforce safety and hygiene guidelines during each session
- Perform CPR or emergency first aid if necessary
- Help keeps fitness studio and equipment's clean
Skills and qualifications
- Broad knowledge of physical exercise with the ability to determine appropriate workout plans according to individual needs and goals
- Strong motivational presence and enthusiasm for helping clients achieve their fitness goals
- Passion for fitness and health
- Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- Physical ability and stamina to demonstrate exercise techniques accurately over long periods of time
- In-depth knowledge of gym equipment, machines, and fitness techniques
Preferred qualifications
- CPR and first aid certifications
- Demonstrates ability to lead classes effectively
- Strong teaching and leadership skills
- Commitment to staying current on health and fitness best practices
