Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- With valid Health Certificate
- Minimum of 6 months – 1 years related experience in a food & beverage setting in the hotel, restaurant, or cruise ship
- Preferably (M)(A)(L)(E)
Responsibilities:
I. Outlet Set-up and Preparation
· Prepare the dining area before service, including setting tables with clean linens, cutlery, glassware, and appropriate decorations
· Ensure buffet stations are set up attractively and according to standards, with all necessary serving utensils and labels
· Check that all service stations (e.g., beverage station, POS terminals) are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., napkins, condiments, order pads)
· Ensure that menus are clean, presentable, and up-to-date
II. Guest Service and Order Taking
· Enthusiastically and warmly greet and escort guests to their tables
· Present menus and provide detailed information on food and beverage items, including ingredients, preparation or waiting time, and daily specials, and communicate with guests for any allergens
· Make recommendations and upsell menu items as appropriate
· Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously
· Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, health and safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
· Work collaboratively with kitchen department and other F&B team members to ensure smooth operations
III. Food and Beverage Service
· Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, adhering to service standards
· Ensure orders are accurate and presented appealingly and in correct order
· Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, anticipating needs and refilling drinks as required
· Clear used dishes, glassware, and cutlery from tables efficiently and unobtrusively
IV. Outlet Maintenance and Cleanliness
· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all service areas, including tables, chairs, floors, and service stations, throughout the shift
· Reset tables promptly after guests depart to ensure quick turnaround
· Assist with cleaning duties as assigned, including polishing silverware and glassware
· Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
· Clear and clean all tables and service areas at the end of service
· Properly store unused food items, linens, and service equipment
· Ensure the outlet is left clean, secure, and ready for the next service period according to closing checklists
V. Inventory and Stock Monitoring
· Monitor inventory levels of all F&B supplies, linens, and service ware within the outlet
· Assist in restocking service stations and informing the supervisor of any shortages or breakages of items needing reorder
· Participate in regular inventory counts as required
