Job Title: Food Technologist – Fast Food Industry
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Food Technologist to join our team in the fast-paced world of fast food. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, improving, and ensuring the safety and quality of food products across our menu. This role combines food science, nutrition, and culinary creativity to deliver high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective food solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development:
- Develop new fast food items based on market trends and customer preferences.
- Modify existing recipes to improve taste, texture, nutrition, or shelf life.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and customer taste tests.
- Quality Assurance & Food Safety:
- Ensure all products comply with food safety regulations and internal standards.
- Work with suppliers to verify ingredient quality and safety.
- Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Process Optimization:
- Standardize preparation and cooking procedures for scale and efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in ingredient sourcing or preparation methods.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure successful rollouts of new products.
- Nutritional Analysis:
- Evaluate nutritional content of food items.
- Support the development of healthier menu options.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, test results, and regulatory documentation.
- Stay updated on local and international food laws, labeling requirements, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in food product development, preferably in QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) or FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation techniques and food analysis tools.
- Creative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with fast food chains or mass food production.
- Culinary background or collaboration experience with chefs.
- Knowledge of plant-based or alternative protein food technologies is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Combination of lab/kitchen, office, and on-site restaurant environments.
- Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits, audits, or training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php13,000.00 - Php15,000.00 per month
Work Location: Remote
