Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and tire repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals.
- Repair or replace damaged or worn parts, including engines, transmissions, brake systems, and hydraulic components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports.
- Operate and test repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Coordinate with equipment operators and other departments to schedule repairs.
- Assist with equipment transport and setup as needed.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Technical certification or trade school preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Proficiency with mechanical tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) may be required.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy parts and work in various environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
