As an Employee Relations (ER) Specialist you are responsible for managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, fostering a positive workplace environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and complaints through fair investigations and clear communication
- Provide expert guidance to managers and staff on workplace issues, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HR best practices
- Support the creation, review, and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate and facilitate administrative hearings, exit interviews, and clearance processes
- Collaborate with legal and HR leadership to mitigate risk and ensure equitable treatment
- Manage sensitive and confidential employee data with the utmost discretion
- Prepare and issue HR documentation (e.g., NTEs, notices of decision, reports)
- Track and report on employee relations metrics such as disciplinary actions and attrition
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 1 year experience in employee relations or HR.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, mediation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
