The position is responsible for providing support to the Instrumentation & Control Supervisor in the efficient and effective implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance of the control and instrumentation system of the plant for safe and reliable operation of the plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular:
_ Shall include but are not limited to:_
1. Performs corrective and preventive maintenance work of various instruments and control system in the plant, including calibration, repair and simulation of plant equipment.
2. Assists the Instrumentation & Control Supervisor in the conduct of Functional Test, Performance Rating Test and Evaluation of process instruments indication during unit start-up
3. Performs troubleshooting, overhaul and/or repair of the following:
· Process monitoring and Control System
· Instrument and Power supply system
· Pneumatic and Electronic Control Instrumentation and control element of all pneumatic valves
4. Monitors and prepares data needed for reference and evaluation of instrumentation and control system.
5. Assists in the modification and/or improvement of existing control and instrumentation systems.
6. Complies with control and instrumentation standards/procedures and good housekeeping.
Occasional:
1. Performs administrative functions in support of work unit such as timekeeping, materials support, cost monitoring, and scheduling and quality control/quality assurance
2. Monitors inventory of instrumentation spare parts, tools, materials and supplies stock.
3. Verify and calibrate as an operating system, the proper operation and sequencing of all solenoid valves, electric relays, timers, push bottoms, switches and other devices which are part of interlock, shut-down, auto-start circuit.
4. Performs other related tasks assigned by his immediate superior.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Vocational Graduate of Instrumentation and Control Technology/or Electronic and Communication Engineering graduate
- With related experience in power plant Instrumentations and Control system maintenance
- Knowledgeable in process control loop design, fine-tuning and trouble shooting.
Special Skills Required:
- Technical knowledge in Thermal Power Plant Operations and Maintenance
- Knowledge in field instruments and parts
- Troubleshooting & Calibration skills
- Knowledge in basic electronics and industrial automation
- Good Communication skills
- Computer skills - proficient in MS Office
- Good Analytical and interpersonal skills
