Job Title: IT Associate
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: IT Officer
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The IT Associate is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with network administration, ensuring data security, and providing technical support to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
Assist in managing and monitoring company servers, networks, and data backups.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.
Support and maintain IT inventory, including tracking assets and managing repairs or replacements.
Assist with user account management (email, access rights, passwords).
Maintain documentation of IT procedures, support requests, and resolutions.
Ensure compliance with data security policies and protocols.
Collaborate with IT team on system upgrades and implementations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, IP addressing).
Experience with helpdesk systems is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
Experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
