The Junior Tireman is in-charge and responsible for the maintenance, replacement and repair of various tires for light and heavy equipment unit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Facilitate the over-all repair and maintenance of different kind of tires.
2. Assemble and replacement of the worn-out and relog tires.
3. Remove and change defective rims, lock rings and leaking air valves.
4. Regularly checking of loose wheel stud bolts and nuts.
5. Proper and correct air inflation filling pressure of tires.
6. Exact and correct air inflation pressure reading in pounds per square inch (PSI) gauge unit.
7. Clean rims, bead seat bands or flaps, flange and O-ring grooves prior to tire installations.
8. Perform proper matching and rotation of tires due to uneven thread wear.
9. Check and analyze front tire wear for misalignment.
10. Measure thread heights periodically in order to determine its wear rate analysis.
11. Create a file and record book for tire performance report and costing.
12. Perform corrective measures to prevent and avoid tire heavy damage.
12. Familiar and can recommend request in different kind types of tires.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. At least high school or vocational graduate.
2. At least one (3) year of relate experience.
3. Knowledgeable in Tire care and repair techniques.
