We are currently looking for a highly organized and proactive Laboratory Manager to join our Clinical Laboratory team. This role is responsible for supporting the Laboratory Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing the execution of all activities and programs related to internal laboratory operations. The successful candidate will ensure all processes are carried out in alignment with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
This role plays a key role in monitoring operations, supporting team development, and driving strategic and innovative initiatives that enhance internal laboratory services. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build effective relationships within a multidisciplinary team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and improvement of internal clinical laboratory operations in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the operations by monitoring ongoing activities and ensuring instructions are accurately implemented and followed by the team.
- Identify and report internal operational issues, concerns, or process inefficiencies to the head with recommended solutions.
- Lead the development and implementation of new methods and systems to improve laboratory workflow, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in and support strategic planning initiatives aligned with organizational goals and economic conditions.
- Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration, ensuring strong working relationships across all departments.
- Apply sound decision-making skills when faced with operational challenges, focusing on achieving business and service goals.
- Support staff development by coaching team members, reviewing work constructively, and encouraging continuous learning and performance improvement.
- Maintain a strong focus on results, aligning day-to-day laboratory operations with broader business objectives and performance targets.
- Champion innovation by encouraging the application of creative approaches to problem-solving, service improvement, and workflow enhancement.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Licensed Medical Technologist or equivalent certification, depending on regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in clinical laboratory operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory standards, quality assurance practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Adaptable to change and capable of introducing and managing innovative solutions.
