Key Responsibilities1. Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Supervise daily maintenance activities to ensure machines, utilities, and facilities are in proper working condition.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure calibration, lubrication, and sanitation of machinery in compliance with GMP and food safety standards.
2. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians to develop skills and ensure safe, efficient work practices.
- Assign work orders and monitor progress to meet operational priorities.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among the maintenance crew.
3. Compliance & Safety
- Enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other food safety regulations during maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards (e.g., lockout/tagout, PPE use).
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, safety records, and audit-ready documentation.
4. Spare Parts & Resources Management
- Monitor spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available and downtime is minimized.
- Coordinate with suppliers and purchasing for cost-effective procurement of tools and parts.
5. Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Support improvement projects that increase machine reliability, efficiency, and energy savings.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to address equipment-related issues.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, breakdowns, downtime, and cost control.
