Manager of IT Infrastructure (Remote)

We are seeking a Manager of IT Infrastructure to lead and oversee our organization's IT infrastructure, cloud services, and production environment. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure that supports business operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft Azure, endpoint and remote monitoring management (RMM) tools, and strong scripting skills alongside knowledge of .NET-based applications and AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure & Cloud Management:

• Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring availability, scalability, and security.
• Lead Azure cloud operations including Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD), and Azure-specific service configuration.
• Manage AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, ECS, Kubernetes, and CloudFormation.
• Manage the IT operations budget, including resource allocation, hardware/software procurement, and cost optimization.
• Oversee relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and costs are controlled.

Endpoint & Device Management:

• Implement and maintain endpoint management solutions such as JumpCloud (preferred), Microsoft Intune, ManageEngine, SentinelOne, or ConnectWise.
• Ensure secure and scalable device provisioning and endpoint lifecycle management.

Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM):

• Deploy and manage RMM tools for visibility, automation, and support — experience with platforms like NinjaOne, ConnectWise, or SentinelOne preferred.
• Monitor performance and availability of remote infrastructure and endpoints.

Production Environment & Monitoring:

• Manage the production environment, ensuring uptime, reliability, and incident response readiness.
• Review production logs, analyze system errors, and implement corrective actions to improve stability.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices using CloudWatch, DataDog, or similar tools.
• Oversee disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning.

Code Deployment & DevOps:

• Oversee deployment processes for .NET-based applications, ensuring smooth releases with minimal downtime.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize release workflows.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management

Collaboration:

• Work closely with software development, DevOps, and business teams to align IT infrastructure with company goals.
• Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, documentation standards, and change management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, cloud computing, and production system operations.

• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and related services.
• Experience with .NET application hosting, IIS, and SQL Server administration.
• Hands-on experience in managing production environments, troubleshooting logs, and incident response.
• Familiarity with log aggregation tools (Application Insights, CloudWatch Logs, etc.).
• Experience in networking, security, VPNs, and firewall management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and managing Azure-based automation.
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining endpoint and RMM tools.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of IT security frameworks, identity management, and compliance.
• Leadership experience in team management, project coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure Certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or similar)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
• ITIL or PMP certification a Plus
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Quick learner and able to develop subject matter skills
• Being able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls/meetings/chats during weekdays working
• Quiet workspace, conducive to video meetings & calls
• Access to a reliable high-speed Internet connection; at least 25MBPS.
• Double monitors preferred but not required (if available)
