Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
We are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Communications Systems Engineer to support the design, installation, and maintenance of local communications networks (LCN) for coastal and maritime surveillance systems across the Philippines. This role is critical in ensuring secure, reliable communications for national defense and maritime operations.
This is a nationwide project, and we need someone who is willing to travel and take on assignments at various project sites across the country.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain LCNs at PMSP sites.
- Support integration of communications networks with surveillance systems (radar, AIS, EO/IR, COP).
- Coordinate with ICT/OT, HF/VHF, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and reliable operations.
- Provide input for equipment procurement, installation, and sustainment
- Deliver training to GPH personnel on LCN operations and troubleshooting.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in LCN design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong background in maritime and coastal surveillance communications in the Philippines.
- Expertise in HF/VHF/UHF radio systems, IP-based networks, and secure communications protocols.
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and technical training skills.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel and deploy to various project sites.
