We are seeking an experienced Maritime Surveillance Systems Specialist to support the evaluation, sustainment, and enhancement of maritime surveillance infrastructure and mission systems. This role is part-time and involves conducting technical assessments, recommending improvements, and ensuring operational readiness of critical systems.
This is a nationwide project, and we need someone who is willing to travel and take on assignments at various project sites across the country.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical assessments of facility infrastructure and integrated mission systems
- Evaluate the condition and readiness of equipment such as AIS, COP, radar, EO/IR cameras, and communication systems.
- Identify maintenance needs, recommend upgrades or replacements, and support training requirements.
- Contribute to Facility Survey Reports (CDRL A015) and ensure alignment with operational and mission requirements.
- Support design reviews and sustainment planning based on survey findings.
- Engage with stakeholders and provide clear, concise reporting of technical observations and recommendations.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in facility operations, maintenance, or technical assessments within a relevant SME discipline.
- Strong expertise in maritime surveillance infrastructure and mission systems (radar, AIS, COP, EO/IR, radio).
- Proficient in evaluating, documenting, and reporting on integrated mission systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
