Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on injection molding machines, robots, conveyors, chillers, dryers, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) according to scheduled plans.
- Replace defective parts such as gears, bearings, pumps, valves, seals, and cylinders.
- Calibrate and align machine components and systems for proper operation.
- Support mold changeover and setup teams when mechanical adjustments are required.
- Collaborate with production and quality departments to ensure machines meet operational and product specifications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs.
- Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and prioritize urgent repairs to minimize downtime.
- Assist in installation and testing of new equipment.
- Follow company safety policies and promote safe work practices.
- Keep tools and work area clean and organized.
- Report recurring mechanical issues and recommend long-term solutions.
Qualifications:
- Technical/Vocational diploma in Mechanical Technology or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical repair in a plastic molding or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Familiar with various hand and power tools used in maintenance.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules and respond to emergencies during off-hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 kg safely.
