Job Purpose The Application Developer will collaborate with our internal teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions and .NET framework. The Application Developer will be responsible for creating applications from the ground up, configuring existing systems, and providing user support.
Duties & Responsibilities • Participate in requirements analysis • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages • Test and deploy applications and systems • Revise, update, refactor and debug code • Improve existing software • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support • Use, protect and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards • Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times • Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
Qualifications • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field • 5-8 years’ experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)) • Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3 • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC) • Understanding of Agile methodologies • Attention to detail • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
