JOB DESCRIPTION

The CREW TRAINER is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating training programs for all restaurant staff. This role ensures that employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors to perform their duties according to company standards. The Crew Trainer plays a key role in staff development, service consistency, and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff On boarding and Induction

· Train new employees on company policies, job expectations, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.

· Familiarize new hires with the restaurant's culture and service philosophy.

Skill Development

· Provide ongoing training to enhance employee skills in areas such as food preparation, customer service, point-of-sale systems, and cleanliness.

· Support cross-training to build a flexible workforce.

Operational Consistency

· Ensure that all team members follow standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to deliver consistent food quality and service.

· Monitor staff adherence to brand standards.

Performance Improvement

· Identify skill gaps or performance issues and implement corrective training programs.

· Work with managers to address underperformance through coaching and retraining.

Compliance and Safety Training

· Conduct training related to food safety, hygiene, fire safety, and other regulatory requirements.

· Ensure certifications and licenses (e.g., food handler’s permits) are up to date.

Training Documentation and Reporting

· Maintain records of training sessions, attendance, and progress assessments.

· Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.

Support for New Store Openings or Transitions

· Assist in the setup and training of staff for new branches or franchises.

· Serve as a liaison between corporate training departments and frontline staff
