QUALIFICATIONS
- At least Senior HS Graduate or College level
- Willing to undergo skills training & branch exposure for 15-days
- Fast learner, trainable and can work under pressure
BASIC FUNCTION
The Optician grinds eyeglass lenses to prescription specifications and assembles lenses in frames. He reads lens and frame specifications from prescription. He also examines broken lenses to identify original lens prescription and repairs minor frame damages.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares pattern of lenses according to the frame’s size and shape.
Checks grade and axis of lenses from stocks or the patient’s prescription eyeglasses against the job order specifications to ensure correctness.
Plots and checks the layout of lenses according to the pupillary distance (PD).
Cuts the prescribed lens layout.
Provides other needed accessories such as nylon (for semi-rimless frames), multicoating/tint as requested by the patients.
Repairs and adjusts frames by adding/replacing screw, nose pads, etc.
Solders and plates (gold) frames.
Maintains and controls all equipment/machines in the laboratory.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php22,000.00 per month
