Job Summary:
The PCO/ROHS Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring the company’s operations, products, and materials comply with environmental regulations, specifically Pollution Control (PCO) requirements and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives. This role involves monitoring environmental compliance, maintaining documentation, coordinating with government agencies (e.g., DENR), and supporting internal audits related to product environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:Pollution Control (PCO):
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and DENR regulations (RA 6969, RA 8749, RA 9275, etc.).
- Prepare and submit environmental reports (e.g., SMR, CMR, PCL, hazardous waste manifests) on time.
- Monitor proper storage, treatment, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Coordinate with DENR-accredited waste haulers and treatment facilities.
- Conduct periodic inspections and audits of waste management practices on-site.
- Educate and train staff on environmental practices and waste segregation.
RoHS Compliance:
- Ensure that all products and components meet RoHS requirements regarding restricted hazardous substances (e.g., lead, cadmium, mercury).
- Review supplier material declarations and RoHS compliance certifications.
- Maintain a compliance database for all regulated substances in materials used.
- Work with purchasing and engineering teams to eliminate non-compliant materials.
- Assist in internal or customer audits related to RoHS.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
- Valid PCO Accreditation from DENR (Category B/C preferred).
- Knowledge in environmental laws and regulations (RA 6969, DAO 2013-22, etc.).
- Familiar with RoHS and other international product compliance standards.
- At least 1–2 years experience in PCO and/or RoHS compliance is an advantage.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.

Pay: Php17,000.00 - Php18,000.00 per month
