The Pollution Control Officer is responsible for all Safety, Health, & Environment (SH&E) communications, promoting environmentally friendly processes, supervising and monitoring environmental projects, and legal compliance. This includes monitoring the installation, operation, and maintenance of pollution control facilities, ensuring full compliance with EMB-DENR regulations. The role includes submitting timely environmental reports, promptly reporting equipment breakdowns, and staying updated on new environmental laws and technologies.
Theyactively participate in SH&E improvement initiatives, cleaning and environmental programs, and mini-business unit performance. They also coordinate with colleagues, attend meetings, recommend pollution control improvements, and handle additional environmental concerns or duties as assigned by management.
The ideal candidate is a college graduate of any engineering degree, a licensed engineer (preferably mechanical or chemical engineer), with 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in environmental compliance or related fields. Completion of Basic Pollution Control Training is required, and the candidate must have a solid understanding of environmental aspects, particularly in relation to ISO 14001 standards.
