Job Description:
- The Precast Detail Drafter will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate drawings for precast concrete elements. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, a strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings, and the ability to produce clear, comprehensive precast drawings. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring all drawings meet the highest standards of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD to create 2D drawings for precast concrete projects.
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, ensuring a thorough understanding of design requirements.
- Develop detailed precast drawings, including:
- Marking plans and layouts
- Elevations
- Dowel and bracing plans
- Connection details
- Precast element shop drawings
- Ensure all drawings are clear, precise, and easy to understand for manufacturing and construction purposes.
- Pay close attention to detail to ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet company standards.
- Perform self-checks and quality control reviews on all completed drawings.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other team members to resolve drawing-related issues.
- Provide efficient and practical solutions to design and detailing challenges.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a strong focus on 2D drafting.
- Experience in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings, particularly for high-rise buildings.
- Familiarity with precast concrete design and detailing is highly desirable.
- High attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings.
