Job Summary
The Registered Midwife provides comprehensive maternal and newborn care, ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and infants during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. The role includes clinical practice, health education, counseling, and support in both hospital and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide antenatal care, including physical examinations, risk assessments, and health advice.
- Assist and manage normal labor and deliveries, ensuring safe practices for both mother and baby.
- Monitor maternal and fetal health during pregnancy and labor.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Offer emotional support, education, and guidance to expectant mothers and families.
- Manage postpartum care, including newborn assessments and breastfeeding support.
- Identify high-risk cases and make appropriate referrals to obstetricians or other specialists.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Promote maternal and child health programs within the community.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health regulations, and professional midwifery standards.
- Willing to join Medical Mission if needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery.
- Valid license/registration as a Midwife.
- Proven clinical experience in maternity care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Knowledge of maternal, neonatal, and reproductive health care practices.

Six days a week/one day rest day
