Inviting applications for the role of Process Associate, Accounts Payable - Generalist!
In this role, the Deductions Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely resolution of customer deductions from accounts receivable.
He/She will work closely with internal departments, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to address deduction issues and maintain a healthy accounts receivable portfolio.
Responsibilities
• Manage/Review and analyze customer deductions to identify root causes and discrepancies
• Investigate and gather necessary information to understand the nature of deductions
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Service, Finance, to gather relevant information and resolve deduction issues
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to obtain necessary documentation and clarification
• Develop and implement strategies to recover funds associated with invalid or unauthorized deductions
• Implement corrective actions to prevent future deductions and improve overall accounts receivable processes
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of deduction-related activities
• Generate reports on deduction trends, recovery efforts and process improvements
• Identify opportunities continuously for process improvements in the accounts receivable and deductions management processes
• Provide recommendations to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Preferably with previous experience in accounts receivable, deductions management, or a related financial role
• Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Preferably from Food/Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry but not required
• Ability to to work in a team and good interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and implement effective solutions
• Understanding of the industry and customer-specific requirements related to deductions
• Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional team
