Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Coordination: Serve as a proposal specialist to ensure input to the proposal is received from all individuals assigned to the proposal team in a timely manner. Work with the Business Development Manager to ensure client needs are being met and the win strategy is implemented throughout the proposal process.
- Proposal Development & Compliance: Analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and work closely with the Project Manager, when assigned, and the proposal team during proposal development to ensure content is complete, relevant, compelling, persuasive, and compliant. Develop proposals using OTSI templates and/or customer-provided templates.
- Supporting Documentation & Reporting: Create and/or edit supporting documents required for proposals including compliance matrices, capability statements, past performance references, personnel bios and resumes, and other documents required by the customer. You'll seamlessly integrate marketing data, resumes, project summaries, and more to create a compelling case for OTSI.
- Strategic Impact: Your role will be critical in analyzing the RFP or RFQ, ensuring OTSI responds thoroughly and strategically. With your expertise, you'll drive on-time proposal submissions and keep the team on track with clear deadlines and organized schedules, all while ensuring OTSI stands out as the top choice for clients. This includes highlighting OTSI's extensive work with COTS APIs, IBM WebSphere, Oracle, and SOA architectures, as well as our ability to establish and maintain robust data structures and pipelines for efficient storage and retrieval of critical case data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication, or Business
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in a business IT environment: consulting
- Experience writing proposals or handling RFPs
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills appropriate for competitive-bid proposals
- Excellent writing skills including understanding of grammatical rules, punctuation, sentence structure, and active/passive voice
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Excellent written and communication skills with strong ability to flex/adjust styles to audience
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
- Strong teamwork skills, including interaction with end-users and operations personnel
- Strong organizational skills
Experience:
· Proposal Development & Opportunity Management: Led comprehensive proposal writing for government and state-level contracts, meticulously identifying and tracking bidding opportunities through various online portals.
· Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Collaborated cross-functionally with internal managers to develop strategic proposals and formulate precise questions. Engaged in pre-proposal conferences to gather critical insights and maintained professional communication with contracting officers.
· Data Visualization & Reporting: Developed interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators, providing actionable insights for decision-makers.
· Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with US government and state-level bidding contracts is highly preferred.
· Work Environment Requirements: Must be comfortable working within the UK Time Zone with a reliable computer, functional camera, and strong internet connection. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
