Job Opening: Purchaser/Buyer
Location: LPU Davao
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Purchaser to manage the end-to-end procurement process of goods and services for the institution. The ideal candidate must have strong negotiation skills, be detail-oriented, and ensure that all purchasing activities comply with institutional policies and government procurement guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
- Prepare and process purchase requests and purchase orders
- Coordinate with suppliers, end-users, and finance to ensure smooth transactions
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of goods/services
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant regulations
- Prepare reports and support audits when necessary
- Handle procurement-related concerns and resolve discrepancies or delays
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures and supply chain best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel) and procurement software/tools
- Familiarity with government procurement rules (e.g., RA 9184) is an advantage
- High level of integrity and professionalism
