Job Description:
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all our properties in the real estate and hospitality sectors. The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Developing and implementing purchasing strategies: The Purchasing Manager will develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the business objectives of our organization. This will involve working closely with senior management to understand the procurement needs of each business unit and developing purchasing plans that are cost-effective and efficient.
Managing vendor relationships: The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers and vendors. This will involve negotiating contracts and ensuring that vendors meet the quality, price, and delivery requirements of our organization.
Overseeing the procurement process: The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement process for all goods and services required by our organization. This will include identifying potential suppliers, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that goods and services are delivered on time and within budget.
Managing inventory levels: The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing inventory levels across all our properties. This will involve developing and implementing inventory management systems that ensure adequate stock levels, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
Ensuring compliance with procurement policies: The Purchasing Manager will ensure that all procurement activities comply with our organization's policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
Providing reports and analysis: The Purchasing Manager will provide regular reports and analysis on purchasing activities to senior management. This will include tracking purchasing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for process improvements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the real estate or hospitality sectors.
- Proven track record of managing purchasing activities across different business units.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
