JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- lOversee the procurement process for goods and services required by the company. This involves identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure favorable terms, pricing and service level. Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Coordinate the transportation and distribution of goods to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customer or internal departments. Work closely with transportation providers and warehouse teams to optimize logistics processes.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements for international shipments . Stay informed about changes in the import/ export regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize purchasing and logistics expenses. Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reductions without compromising quality or service levels.
- Supervise a team of purchasing and logistics professional, providing guidance , training and support as needed. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and analyze reports on purchasing and logistic, such as inventory turn-over, on time delivery performance and cost savings. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions materials or components.
- Drive continuous improvement initiates to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve overall performance in purchasing and logistics operations. Encourage feedback from team members and stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovations and process optimization.
- Ensuring that the company's supply chain functions smoothly, from sourcing materials to delivering finished products to customers, while also optimizing costs and maintaining high standards of quality and service.
- Coordinate logistics operations including importation from suppliers both domestic and international, distribution, and transportation to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
- Assist in handling import related functions not limited to customs transactions, broker transactions and etc.
- Track product shipment statuses and ensure timely delivery to customers or internal departments.
- Address and resolve any issues regarding shipping or transportation.
- Monitoring , analysis and reporting metrics relating to supply chain matters
