We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA Training Officer to lead initiatives that ensure the highest standards of clinical laboratory services. This person is responsible in the implementation and continuous improvement of internal processes and programs related to Clinical Laboratory services, quality assurance and serves as project manager for new test items in accordance with the company’s established policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Training Officer plays a key role in identifying training needs, implementing development programs, and maintaining up-to-date training records—all in alignment with the organization’s established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- The officer regularly coordinates with Unit Heads and Officers to assess training needs and uses these insights to recommend improvements to the Laboratory Manager and Senior Manager for Clinical Laboratory Operations.
- Acting as the project representative for training, the officer plans and implements skills development initiatives, closely monitoring their progress to ensure timely responses to project requirements. Additionally, they review, propose, and validate training programs across all units, ensuring that mandatory, proficiency, and technical trainings are continuously met under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.
- Staying informed on the latest developments, the officer ensures that staff competencies remain current and relevant. They monitor the training progress of all personnel, recommend measures to minimize patient-related incidents linked to staff competency, and are responsible for updating all training-related documentation.
- The role may also include other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior, within the scope of responsibility and proficiency.
- Lead efforts in attaining and maintaining international certifications and standards. Review, validate, and update quality standards and laboratory procedures.
- Coordinate with unit heads to understand internal requirements and provide data-driven quality recommendations to the Laboratory Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A licensed Medical Technologist with a degree in Medical Technology and 2 to 4 years of professional experience, preferably with a background in quality assurance or training and development.
- Possess expertise in training and development, with the ability to design and deliver effective programs that address the evolving needs of Clinical Laboratory personnel. Strategic thinking is essential to ensure that learning initiatives are aligned with the organization’s overall goals.
- Completion of relevant trainings is an advantage, such as: Internal accreditation standards, Clinical Laboratory technical proficiency, Basic Life Support (BLS), Safety Skills Essentials (SSE) and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control Measures (HIRA).
- Amenable to work in Malolos Bulacan.
