Are you a seasoned export professional with a passion for growing brands internationally? We’re looking for a Business Development Manager – Export & Retail to lead and scale our international ice cream business. This key role will drive global expansion, manage distributor relationships, and unlock new markets for our premium frozen dessert products.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute strategic export sales plans for ice cream and frozen dessert lines
- Identify, build, and manage distributor and retail partnerships across target markets: Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan
- Oversee end-to-end export operations, including documentation, compliance, certifications, and logistics
- Set and monitor sales targets by market and channel, ensuring alignment with business KPIs
- Collaborate with R&D and Marketing to tailor product offerings for international market demands
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to refine pricing and positioning strategies
- Represent the brand at global trade shows, food expos, and networking events to generate leads and boost visibility
- Provide timely reports on performance, sales forecasts, and pipeline development
- Stay current with global trade regulations, labeling standards, and certification requirements (Halal, Kosher, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field
- 8–10 years’ experience in export sales or international business development within the frozen food industry (ice cream or desserts strongly preferred)
- Proven success in managing international distributors and retail partners
- Expertise in export documentation, regulatory compliance, and logistics coordination
- A well-established network in the food import/export space—especially in the above-mentioned countries
- Strong negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural relationship-building skills
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in a Philippine-based frozen food or dairy company with international exposure
- Familiarity with certifications like HACCP, Halal, Kosher, and international FDA/import protocols
- Experience in managing premium FMCG or frozen dessert brands in competitive global markets
