Job Description:
We are seeking a Restaurant Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring that the restaurant meets its targeted revenue. The role includes managing all aspects of restaurant performance, from customer service to inventory control, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Management: Achieve targeted revenue by effectively managing restaurant operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, product knowledge, and maintaining high sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Pricing & Cost Control: Conduct research and make recommendations on F&B pricing based on costs and competition. Regularly monitor sales mix and gross margins.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory control to avoid stockouts and overstocking. Ensure accurate reporting on near-expiry items, returns, and damaged goods.
- Marketing & Promotions: Oversee the effective execution of marketing and promotional activities to boost revenue and brand visibility.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage operational costs, including salaries, utilities, and supplies, ensuring that budgeted costs are met. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve targeted costs and expenses.
- Operational Standards: Ensure the restaurant and back-office operations are in line with company standards, including facility maintenance, security, and adherence to food portioning guidelines.
- Manpower Management: Plan and schedule manpower effectively, ensuring cross-training and performance support through employee training programs and appraisals.
- Asset and Facility Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance of all company assets and facilities, safeguarding all corporate assets, including equipment and information.
- Policy Implementation: Enforce company policies, systems, and procedures related to inventory receiving, warehousing, personnel, and other operational matters. Suggest improvements on existing systems and processes.
- Other Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's/College Degree in Food & Beverage Services Management, Business Studies, Administration, Management, or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role within the Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel, WordPerfect, and other office applications.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in interpreting and analyzing profit and loss statements and understanding financial ratios.
- Excellent leadership, planning, organizing, and controlling abilities.
- Strong ability to manage people, costs, and operations.
