DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
PREVENTION ( Assessment / Investigation / Identification of work hazard related to safety )
- Conducts daily Toolbox meeting
- Validates and updates safety orientation for health and safety awareness, proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and power tools / equipment
- Monitoring safety at project site, analyzes the possible hazardous to minimize the accident.
- Conducts and validates daily inspection of temporary facilities
- Reports to superior or immediate supervisor any unmanageable site conditions which may lead or create unfavorable event and incident /accident.
- Reviews and finalizes all recordable report like injuries, fires, motor vehicle accidents, property damage, heavy equipment incident, including near miss, first aid cases and all other pertinent safety records
- Spot inspection of power hand tools, PPE, heavy equipment, scaffoldings or working platforms, and other equipments or materials and validation of work permits
- Conducts Daily Site Inspection – Utilized “Daily Safety Observation Report” and "Safety Non-Conformance Forms" (identify all aspect / hazards and inform all parties for the corrective measures to be taken)
- Checking / Inspection of all working platform, barriers/barricades and safety signboards.
RESOLUTION AND INTERVENTION OF WORK-RELATED ILLNESS
- Organizes Health and Safety Environment (HSE) committee meeting
- Consolidates and submit Safety Order Resolution (SOR) Rate
- Reports Safety Order Resolution (SOR) progress result to project team
- Consolidates and submits Housekeeping Program
- Reviews / validates monitoring of third party certificate
- Reviews /validates monitoring of skilled workers certificate and heavy equipment operator (NC2)
- Reviews / validates Inspection Checklist of Powertools and Equipment
- Submits report of project in compliance to DOLE
- Reviews / validates monitoring of fire extinguisher
- Organizes drills activity ( Fire , Earthquake, Weather Disturbance, Chemical Spillage and etc.)
- Planning of emergency drills and simulations
- Submits Annual Report of Project in compliance to DOLE
RESOLUTION AND INTERVENTION OF WORK-RELATED ACCIDENT
- Reports major accident to top management immediately
- Assists Site Nurse in administering medication to injured person
- Issues Work Stoppage Order when necessary based on the requirements and procedure provided by the Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Standards
- Conducts thorough investigation and creates program to avoid re-occurence of the incident
IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMS
- Conducts Health and Safety Environment (HSE) Training and Awareness to all staff and worker
- Assist external auditor / inspector ( Client, LGU, Government Sector and etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor's/College Degree in any 4-year course;
- At least 1 to 3 Years of working experience in the construction field is required for this position;
- with COSH/OSH Training certificates;
- and LCM Training (For SO3 only);
- wiling to be assigned in different project sites if required;
- Willing to be assigned in Plaridel, Bulacan;
- amenable to commute / relocate, living near or within Plaridel, Bulacan;

Archipelago Builders Corporation
The company was established in 1965, engaging in General Building Construction under the name Archipelago Builders. The office started from renting a room of a building at Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila and the Warehouse / Steel Shop were located at Old Samson Road, Balintawak, Quezon City.
Started with a Building Contractor-Category “C” by Professional Regulations Commission, it was later recognized as a General Building Contractor-Class “B”. In the year 1975-1976 the company doubled its personnel, rented another three (3) rooms in the same building and added another three (3) compartment warehouses and steel shop for its expanded operations for both public and private sectors. In 1977, the company was recognized as a General Engineering and General Building-Category “A”, engaged in both horizontal and vertical construction.
In 1979, Archipelago Builders started construction of its own three and a one half (3 -1/2) storey building at No.29 North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, to house its main office and diversified businesses like the restaurant, construction supply and real state.
In 1987, as the company continued to grow, the category “A” further upgraded to Category ’AA’
In 1998, the year of economic crisis, inflation and political strife in the country, fortunately, Archipelago Builders was awarded quite a number of projects in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon and Visayas. Because of this, Archipelago Builders was finally upgraded to Category ‘AAA’.
Today, after many years of construction experience, Archipelago Builders aims to further develop the quality of construction and help build future for this country. This is our vision and mission.
