Job Title: Security Guard

Job Description:
- Responsibilities:
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security.
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure the safety of the facility.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, incidents, or security breaches to management.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Circulate among visitors, clients, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
- Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, or machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all security-related activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Physical fitness and ability to walk/stand for long periods.
