This is an Automation Engineer role. You will be given the tools you need to advance your skills and experience, while adding true value to your career and our top tier client base. You will bring your coding expertise, business skills and understanding of modern cloud infrastructure along with a desire to continuously improve. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute and maintain automation scripts using Tricentis Tosca, enabling an automation-first approach.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of automation frameworks and solutions tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, identify automation opportunities, and implement solutions that deliver ROI.
- Engage with third-party vendors where required to gather information essential to building robust automated test cases.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
Skills:
- Strong experience in Tosca test automation, including test case design, execution, and maintenance.
- Experience automating browser-based applications and APIs using Tosca.
- Solid understanding of testing lifecycle and methodologies, including functional and regression testing.
Responsibilities
- Design automation test frameworks for diverse technology stacks utilising the latest in automation tooling
- Design, develop and maintain automation scripts across a variety of tools and languages
- Advocate for and enable modern delivery approaches to automation such as in-sprint and automation first
- Assist in the creation of test automation strategies
- Research, investigate, socialise, and aid in the implementation of appropriate new and emerging technologies and approaches via internal innovation of our automation, quality engineering, performance, and DevOps communities
- Utilisation of test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium and Webdriver.io.
- Track record in delivering automation solutions for web, mobile and micro-service applications
- Strong commercial experience in object-oriented programming utilising languages such as Java or C#.
- Good understanding of automated API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Rest Sharp.
- Good understanding of BDD concepts and experience utilising Cucumber, SpecFlow or JBehave.
- Good understanding of GIT and versioning
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
- Contribute to agile project activities and techniques such as stand-ups, iteration planning and retrospectives.
- Desirable skills and experience
Experience in the application and setup of Continuous Integration/Deployment process and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or Bamboo.
Knowledge and/or experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP Programming knowledge in JavaScript/Python. Planit are world leaders in application testing and quality engineering.
