About the role:
AvePoint, a global leader in SaaS and data management solutions, is seeking a strategic and hands-on SEO Manager for our Manila office. This role will guide SEO efforts spanning technical, onpage, online, and semantic optimization, driving strong organic growth in an era transformed by generative AI (GEO). The successful candidate will leverage data-driven insights, cross-functional partnerships, and team leadership to maximize search visibility, optimize content, and convert targeted traffic throughout the customer journey.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, Manage and Oversee SEO Strategy and Team: Design and execute comprehensive SEO strategies with digital team — including technical, onpage, online, and semantic optimization — while managing and mentoring SEO specialists to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Technical SEO: Work with web team to audit and refine website architecture, crawlability, indexation, site speed, mobile optimization, and schema markup for best-in-class search performance.
- Onpage SEO: Shape content structure, meta tags, internal linking, keyword targeting, and user experience for higher rankings and user engagement.
- Online SEO: Grow and maintain a quality backlink profile, manage reputation, leverage local SEO, and ensure offpage best practices.
- Semantic SEO: Utilize natural language processing, entity optimization, and topical authority to secure relevance in evolving AI-powered search results.
- Adapt SEO for Generative AI (GEO): Track trends in generative AI search, adapting strategies to sustain and boost organic traffic as algorithms and AI experiences shift.
- Keyword Research & Market Signals: Conduct extensive keyword research, competitor analysis, and search intent studies to provide actionable insights and inform content and campaign strategies.
- Content Optimization & Collaboration: Partner with the content team to plan, create, and refine content that attracts, engages, and converts users. Guide editorial calendars, topic selection, and performance measurement.
- Collaborate with Regional and Corporate Marketing Teams: Work closely with global and regional marketing teams to strategize, plan, and produce content that aligns with business goals and local market needs.
- Customer Journey Optimization: Optimize SEO strategies for every stage of the customer journey — from awareness and consideration to conversion and retention — to drive both traffic and engagement.
- Paid Media Collaboration: Coordinate with the paid media team to align organic and paid efforts, maximizing overall website traffic and improving conversion rates.
- Analytics & Reporting: Set KPIs, monitor SEO performance, and provide regular, actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about SEO/GEO and digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, always testing and iterating for ongoing success.
- Team Development & Coaching: Provide regular feedback, coaching, and development plans for team members. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within the SEO function.
- Resource Planning & Hiring: Assess team capacity and skill gaps. Collaborate with HR and leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain top SEO talent.
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO management experience, ideally in SaaS, B2B tech, or high-growth digital environments.
- Proven experience in leading and managing SEO teams, including mentoring, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical, onpage, online, and semantic SEO, with proven results in organic growth.
- Proficiency in SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, etc.).
- Strong understanding of generative AI’s impact on search (GEO) and agility in adapting to search innovation.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with deep experience in keyword research and market analysis.
- Proven ability to collaborate across content, marketing, and paid media teams within global organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented.
