About the job
The Server & Cloud Specialist at Ikano Retail is tasked with designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade cloud and infrastructure solutions. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, super users, and external vendors to ensure the scalability, stability, security, and cost-effectiveness of IT systems and processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy: Architect and implement cloud-based solutions aligned with business goals, ensuring consistency and cost-efficiency. Collaborate across teams to drive a standardized, modernized cloud infrastructure roadmap with a unified operating model
- Solution Delivery & Support: Develop and support IT infrastructure solutions with high availability, scalability, and performance as well as act as a Level 3/4 subject matter expert for server and cloud-related issues
- Infrastructure Protection (hybrid): Maintain IT security architecture standards, monitor risks, and implement security measures to ensure adherence to security control requirements, manage change processes, and enforce policies to mitigate cyber threats. Define and enforce server/cloud standards and processes aligned with best practices
- Operational Excellence: Ensure timely renewal and compliance of hardware maintenance contracts and licenses. Implement and regularly test disaster recovery plans for business continuity. Recommend tech enhancements to streamline operations and reduce costs. Manage physical and virtual servers for optimal performance
Qualifications
Your profile
- Minimum a degree in Business IT or Computer Science or Information Systems or other IT Professional disciplines
- Certifications on Azure/ AWS Cloud planning, design, security and administration.
- Good knowledge and experience as cloud infra architect/ specialist role in leading IT initiatives and support of complex cloud infrastructure technologies in various enterprise environments and experience in defining and adopting architecture standards and practices (IaaS/ PaaS/ SaaS cloud models)
- IT System implementation, migration and administration experience on Microsoft Windows Server, Checkpoint/ Fortigate Firewall management, Hypervisor system (VMWARE).
- Good familiarity and working knowledge of hybrid Infrastructure technologies eg., Office365/entra, Windows Active Directory, SCCM, VMWARE, Azure / EMC Storage/Backup.
