Be Part of a Transformative Health Initiative in the Philippines!

Plan International Pilipinas is currently in the second year of implementing a groundbreaking five-year initiative:
A Gender-Responsive Systems Approach to Universal Health Care (GRASP-UHC) in the Philippines.

This ongoing project is driving real change, improving health outcomes for vulnerable communities by strengthening the capacity of local government units (LGUs) to deliver affordable, equitable, and quality healthcare through Universal Health Care (UHC).
As we build on the momentum of our first year, we’re looking for passionate, skilled, and purpose-driven professionals to join our growing team!

WE ARE HIRING: Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) & Advocacy Specialist

Are you a development communication professional who believes in the power of storytelling, advocacy, and community engagement to drive social change? This is your opportunity to contribute to a project that’s already making an impact—and help take it even further.

As the SBCC & Advocacy Specialist, you will lead the implementation of the project’s communication and advocacy strategies—empowering communities to adopt positive health-seeking behaviors and claim their right to quality health services.

 WHAT YOU’LL DO

•    Lead the rollout of the SBCC, advocacy, and visibility plans in coordination with project teams and stakeholders.

•    Support LGUs in developing local ordinances, guidelines, and policies that promote inclusive and quality healthcare.

•    Facilitate multi-stakeholder consultations to understand community knowledge, attitudes, and practices around health and UHC.
•    Document success stories, best practices, and lessons learned to amplify the project’s impact.
•    Create compelling multimedia content and promotional materials that resonate with diverse audiences.
•    Contribute to emergency response efforts when needed, as part of Plan International’s humanitarian mandate.

WHAT YOU BRING

•    A degree in Development Communication, Mass Communication, or a related field.

•    At least 3 years of solid experience in communications and advocacy work, preferably in development or public health.

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for simplifying complex ideas.
•    Experience in managing social media and digital platforms.
•    Critical thinking, creativity, and a collaborative spirit.
•    Proficiency in using various ICT tools for communication and content creation.
•    A passion for community empowerment and social justice.
Applicants must be Filipino nationals and currently based in the Philippines.
