Job Summary:
The Survey Aide assists surveyors and engineers in conducting land surveys by performingmanual and technical tasks in the field and office. This role involves supporting the setup andoperation of surveying instruments, marking measurements, recording data, and ensuringaccuracy and safety during survey operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed surveyors in fieldwork for land, topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
- Carry, set up, and operate survey instruments such as total stations, GPS/RTK, theodolites,and leveling instruments.
- Clear survey lines and place markers or stakes on designated points as directed.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of survey equipment and materials.
- Follow instructions for measuring angles, distances, and elevations.
- Assist in the maintenance and care of survey instruments and tools.
- Ensure safety practices are observed on-site.
- Support office tasks such as organizing survey documents, maps, and data as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or TESDA/NCII certificate holder (e.g., in Geodetic Surveying, CivilTechnology).
- Willingness to be trained.
- Preferably with experience in land surveying or construction fieldwork.
- Physically fit and able to work in various outdoor conditions.
- Basic knowledge of measurement tools and procedures.
- Willingness to travel and work long hours on-site.
- Good teamwork.
Optional/Preferred:
- Experience using GNSS/RTK equipment or Total Station.
- Familiarity with basic AutoCAD or GIS software.
- Background in Geodetic or Civil Engineering (even as an undergraduate) is an advantage.
