POSITION SUMMARY:
The role is responsible for the review of Vertiv Corporation sales orders to ensure proper sales tax is invoiced and to ensure compliance with state and local sales tax laws. Assist in coaching other sales tax team members and in collaborating to reach an agreement before contacting the Liebert tax department in Columbus, Ohio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows the established guidelines and standard operating procedures & processes.
- Processes outside the scope of the SOP is communicated to the Team Leader/Manager.
- Is consistent in providing complete and accurate output or next steps.
- Ability to express oneself in English, or any other language supported.
- Comprehension on communicated items, whether with customers (internal/external), counterparts, division POC and colleagues.
- Quality of presentation, whether verbal or written.
- Meets/Exceeds Customer Requirements.
- Build Rapport and provide positive customer experience.
- Ability to comprehend and distill significant issues quickly and accurately.
- Regularly review customer feedback and exert an effort to take each constructively.

- Observes and complies to the company code of conduct and office/team house rules and expectations such as meeting etiquettes.
- Coordinate and complete sales, use and business tax return
- Responsible for researching, analyzing and filing the Ohio Use Tax Return for LNA and LGS."
- Assist in the preparation of Monthly Canadian (GST/PST) tax reporting."
- Create and complete sales and use tax reports to summarize reports received from several different computer systems including the Cullinet and SMS systems."
- Reporting requirements includes Liebert North America and all domestic divisions
- Research and respond to sales and use tax notices
- Request and administer sales and use tax licenses and business tax licenses
- Assist in state sales and use tax audits
- Maintain knowledge of sales and use tax rates for all states and local municipalities and stay up to date on rate changes
- Research sales and use tax laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities
- Assist in calculating and verifying customer and invoice adjustments
- Maintain records of sales and of sales and use tax compliance
- Assist in tax support of the credit and sales departments
- Prompt compilation of sales and use tax liabilities by state or local government
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting
- Experience: fresh graduate on Accountancy or at least 1yr experience in reconciliation and Journal Entry
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be assertive and confident.
- Must have positive attitude and focus on customer-service.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, committed to deliver results, meeting multiple deadlines, and able to work under pressure.

- Knowledgeable in the use of MS Office Software, a plus

- Willing to work the night shift, and work on Philippine Holidays
